Inglewood Curb Appeal Winners

The Inglewood Neighborhood Association recognizes the following home as the newest Curb Appeal Winner.

September 2008

1200 Eastdale

Eric and Dawn LeSueur won the Inglewood Neighborhood Association Home Improvement Award for September.

They've been restoring their Eastdale Avenue home for seven years.

Both have resided in Inglewood since birth and are raising their children in this home, which they happened upon at an estate sale. Judges said the exterior remodel is extensive, including a columned porch, windows and doors. Dawn LeSueur said they tried several colors on the brick before deciding on the sage green

Want to nominate a home?

Criteria for nomination include:

  • Inglewood residences only, no businesses, which fall within the boundaries of Gallatin Road to Brush Hill, including Moss Rose, from Briley Parkway to McGavock Pike and Fernwood.

  • Permission from the nominee to be nominated must be obtained.

  • Improvements must be visible from the street.

  • The projects must be completed at the time of the nomination.

  • Before photos are helpful.

A home will be selected by Interior Designer Denise Simons and Architect Dick King and awarded a certificate to keep and the Inglewood sign bearing the award will be posted at the home for one month.

The Tennessean newspaper has agreed to post a photo of the winning home and its address (without the owner's name if they prefer) with a brief description of the improvements and how they were accomplished.

Judges are looking for exterior improvements such as roof, doors, windows, paint, remodels, restoration, etc. along with garden improvements such as plantings, lawns, fencing, benches etc.

Nominate a home by emailing the INA at Info@InglewoodRNA.org.
